Remontowa Shiprepair Yard, one of Poland’s leading ship repair companies, came to us via their agency Inntu with a clear goal: create a custom brick model of one of their vessels, the OSTRÓW, as a corporate gift. They wanted 100 sets, each true to the ship’s form, complete with branded stickers, a helicopter landing pad, and a display stand.
The Challenge
Ships are demanding subjects for brick design. The OSTRÓW has a distinct silhouette with a pronounced hull, upper deck structure, and a working helideck.
The model also needed to carry six custom stickers per set covering four different designs: the REMONTOWA wordmark on both sides of the hull, the ship name OSTRÓW on the forward hull, GDAŃSK on the stern as the home port, and the standard helideck H-in-circle marking on the upper deck.
Producing 100 complete, correctly assembled kits with custom branding at this scale requires precise parts management and close coordination with our supplier from the moment the design is signed off.
What We Delivered
We designed the model from reference materials, going through a collaborative review process with the client and their agency, sharing digital renders at each stage and incorporating feedback before anything was ordered. Once the design was approved and the contract was signed, we moved into production.
100 complete brick model kits were assembled, bagged, and shipped to the Remontowa Shiprepair Yard in Gdańsk, Poland in five boxes via DHL. Each set included the OSTRÓW model with its branded display stand, all six custom stickers, and building instructions. The sticker designs were supplied by the client in vector format and integrated into the final visualisation before production began.
The model itself featured the helideck on the upper deck, the Remontowa Shiprepair Yard logotype on the stand, and hull branding on both sides, giving the finished piece the look and feel of an authentic commemorative gift worthy of a professional shipyard.
Why It Worked
This project was a strong example of what a bulk brick model commission looks like when the brief is clear and the client is engaged throughout. Inntu were excellent to work with, responsive at every stage and precise about what the end client needed. The Remontowa team knew exactly what they wanted the model to say about their organisation, and that clarity made the design process fast and focused.
Shipping 100 sets internationally to a commercial address required careful logistics planning, and the five-box delivery arrived at the yard on schedule.
