About Belle-Ve Bricks
Belle-Ve Bricks is a custom brick model studio founded by Matthew Mitchell in the UK and Ferdi Vol in the Netherlands. We design and supply bespoke brick model kits for individuals, businesses, and organisations worldwide. Every project we take on is built around a specific brief, and every model we produce is made for one person, one occasion, or one purpose. Nothing is off the shelf and nothing exists anywhere else until we build it.
Where the name comes from
The name Belle-Ve Bricks comes from Matthew’s two children, Annabelle and Harvey. Belle from Annabelle, Ve from Harvey. Both of them grew up loving brick models, as did Matthew from a very young age, and they were the original inspiration behind starting the business. The name has stayed with the company ever since because it reflects something real about why it exists and what it means to the people who built it.
How the business started
Matthew began building what would become Belle-Ve Bricks in 2018, initially as a marketplace connecting custom model designers with buyers. In 2020 he met Ferdi, and the two of them took the business in a different direction entirely. Rather than running a platform for others, they shifted focus to designing and supplying custom brick models directly for clients, both individuals and businesses. Belle-Ve Bricks was incorporated as a limited company on 16 June 2022 and has been growing steadily as a commission studio ever since.
That shift in direction turned out to be the right one. The demand for genuinely bespoke, professionally designed brick model kits, built to a client’s specific brief and delivered ready to build, was something the market had very few serious answers to. Belle-Ve Bricks became one of them.
Who we work with
Over 400 clients have trusted Belle-Ve Bricks with their projects since we started taking commissions. They range from individuals commissioning a one-off gift for someone they love, to global businesses ordering bulk sets for product launches, corporate gifting programmes, and brand activations. We’ve built models for clients across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and beyond, and we ship every order worldwide as a matter of course.
How we work
Belle-Ve Bricks operates as a lean, globally connected studio. Matthew and Ferdi manage every client relationship and every project directly, working with a network of talented designers based in the Philippines, the United States, Italy, Israel, and the UK. Our suppliers are based across the UK, US, and EU, which gives us a genuinely robust and streamlined supply chain that lets us serve clients anywhere in the world without compromise on quality or turnaround.
Every commission goes through the same process regardless of size or complexity. A brief, a quote, a digital render for your approval, and then production and delivery once you’re satisfied with the design. We don’t source a single part until you’ve signed off on what’s being built. That process exists because we’d rather take the time to get it right than move quickly and get it wrong.
What we believe
We believe that the best gifts and display pieces are the ones that are specific to the person or occasion they were made for. Generic doesn’t work at the level we operate at, and we’ve never been interested in producing it. Every project that comes through Belle-Ve Bricks gets the same attention and the same standard of design regardless of whether it’s a single desk model or a production run of thousands.
We also believe in being straight with people. About what’s achievable, about timelines, about pricing, and about whether a particular idea will work in brick before we commit to building it. Clients who work with us tend to come back, and that’s the best indication we have that the approach is right.
Our commitment to sustainability
One of the choices we’re most deliberate about is our digital building instructions option. Rather than including a printed booklet in every box, we offer a business card-sized card with a QR code that takes the builder directly to the step-by-step instructions online. Less packaging, less paper, less waste. It’s a small decision but it adds up significantly across large production runs and it’s the option most of our clients choose when they understand the difference.
More broadly, we try to run the business in a way that doesn’t create unnecessary environmental cost. That means being thoughtful about how we source, how we ship, and how we package, and being honest about where we can do better.
Get in touch
If you have a project in mind or just want to understand what’s possible, we’re always happy to have a conversation before anything is committed to. Matthew and Ferdi handle every initial enquiry directly, so when you get in touch you’re speaking to the people who will be managing your project from start to finish.
