Here’s Sam Wilson in his star-spangled wing suit from the final episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
After the scene in Avengers: Endgame where Steve gave him the shield I thought that’s the Status Quo we gonna start the show with, but having him fight for that title and earn himself the mantle of Captain America from within made it so much better.
Sam Wilson IS Captain America.
