These instructions are using only parts from 10255 Assembly Square set. It is not using any extra parts. You will get light and dark version of the handcrafted instructions in PDF and bricklink list in XML.

Assembly square is meant to be inspired by all previous modular building sets. You can see that there is hidden the whole 10246 Detective’s Office! Detective’s Office is no longer in production so you can recreate it now with set which is still available. This modular building has features from both sets.

This modular building is not exact copy of the existing set. It is set in different time when cookie and sweets prohibition is already over. Unfortunately, everyone is now addicted to sugar! On the first floor old Al changed his business to the café because he saw the opportunity to get rich because of this addiction. He is still smuggling from time to time because large cakes are still prohibited. He is using secret doors and movable coffee maker in order to get the cakes inside. The mirror is still used as decoration but Al replaced the rest of the furniture. He also created sitting areas in front of and in the back of the building for his customers.

The Highlander pool bar went bankrupt after the end of prohibition. There is store with music instruments instead. His owner has secret stash of sweets behind the piano where there is still space formerly used for smuggling. It is now filled with all sorts of sweet treats. Ceiling fan is also still there but it has been replaced by modern one. Back side of the former bar was reconstructed and it has now fancy black roof and symmetric windows.

Second floor is no longer dedicated to detective’s office. Detective is no longer needed after the end of prohibition. On the other hand, all sugar addicts have rotten teeth so local dentist saw the opportunity and build new fancy dentist’s office there. But look behind the picture on the wall! There is secret stash of cookies too! Our dentist is also addicted to sugar and he is ashamed of it. In the hall there is fancy toilet with small sink. There is also new balcony which can be used by patients and by the dentist.

On the third floor there is still kitchen for cooking sweets but it has been modernized. There is also small table outside on the terrace where someone can enjoy the cookies with cup of tea. There is also modernized water tank.

Instructions are handcrafted in Studio 2.0 with all details and proper views of the build. You should be able to build this modular building without any issues. Please let me know via private message if something will not be clear. I will try to help you.

Enjoy the build!

I loved LEGO as a kid and thanks to recent events and change of working hours I started with LEGO again. This time I focus on LEGO builds for adults and I want to share it with others.
