Description

The instructions and Parts list to build your own Amelia Earhart out of LEGO® bricks. I have included the instructions and parts list for both versions, the dark brown jacket and the reddish brown jacket, in this single purchase.

Amelia Earhart was an American aviation pioneer, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and helped to create an organization for female pilots, The Ninety-Nines. I was inspired to create a BrickHeadz version of Amelia Earhart after the Lego Group released a gift-with-purchase set that featured Amelia and her Lockheed Vega 5B.

I really wanted to give her a dark brown jacket to differentiate her flying cap and jacket from the rest of her torso, and make the design slightly more interesting. However, the brackets I used for her arms are not available in dark brown. So I created two versions using alternate arm designs so they are both completely buildable with existing parts.

This was not inspired by their creations, but I wanted to recognize that my final design is unintentionally similar to Launchpad McQuack designs by @headzsets (IG) and @custominstructions (IG). I am guessing that is due to Launchpad’s design being based on the barnstorming aviator stereotype from Amelia’s era.
